Wheel thrown using porcelain clay and decorated with a beetle and their ball of dung. Glazed with a slightly glossy matte white interior and lower exterior, and a slightly glossy matte lavender upper exterior.
I formulated this lavender glaze using a rare earth colorant, neodymium, which has a subtle dichroic effect. It can appear pinkish lavender, bluish lavender or greyish depending which light source you are near.
Fired to cone ten. Hand washing recommended.
