Wheel thrown using porcelain clay and decorated with a mantis. Glazed in a slightly glossy lavender matte on the upper exterior. The lower exterior and interior are glazed in a slightly glossy matte white.
I formulated this lavender glaze using a rare earth colorant, neodymium, which has a subtle dichroic effect. It can appear pinkish lavender, bluish lavender or greyish depending which light source you are near.
Fired to cone ten.
Hand washing preferred but occasional dishwashing is fine.
